SINCERE MILK SUNDAY JULY 19, 2020 CLEANSE YOUR TONGUE

SINCERE MILK SUNDAY JULY 19, 2020 CLEANSE YOUR TONGUE MATTHEW 12:33-37 KEY VERSE: "For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned" (Matthew 12:37). The tongue is a soft organ located inside the mouth. It has no bone but it is strong enough to hurt and injure others. The tongue is used for tasting, talking, etc. It is known as the organ of speech. The words that you speak shows whether you are born-again or not. For a sinner, he abuses people, uses bad language, utters sinful jokes, etc. The tongue of a sinner is like poison and is deadly. When a sinner repents, the blood of Jesus makes him/her a new creature and cleanses the tongue. After being saved, think and pray before you talk. Beware of bad friends so that they do not corrupt your tongue again. If you have nothing to say that will glorify God, say nothing at all. Watch over your tongue, talk less and pray more. PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to always speak words that Jesus wi...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: SUNDAY 19TH JULY 2020.THEME: KNOWLEDGE PUFFETH UP.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: SUNDAY 19TH JULY 2020. THEME: KNOWLEDGE PUFFETH UP. MEMORISE: And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 1 Corinthians 8:2 READ: John 9:39-41. 39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. 40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? 41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. MESSAGE: “…Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.” 1 Corinthians 8:2  One of the biggest problems facing this generation is what is called ‘too know’ in Nigerian local parlance. In the past, it was the University lectures and professors who had this problem, but now that we have the internet, everyone feels very wise. Knowledge is good, but you must be careful that it does not make y...

HIGHER EVERYDAY SUNDAY JULY 19, 2020 WORTHY WALK

HIGHER EVERYDAY SUNDAY JULY 19, 2020 WORTHY WALK TEXT: EPHESIANS 4:1-6 MEMORY VERSE: "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called" (EPHESIANS 4:1). According to John Riper, to walk worthy of the Lord means to, "Act in a way that fits the great value and glorious nature of God and the gospel and your calling." The Christian walk is worthy when it is in conformity with the word of God. God does not hide His will from His children. Christ remains our model and we must ask Him for grace to live like Him always. He is holy, harmless, humble, honest and humane. So must we. Believers are to shine as light in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Real Christians don't tell lies or live in unrighteousness, but love what God loves and hate what He hates. Dear friend, your life must show that you are a new creature in Christ. Your life must be different from what it used to be. The old sin...

DAILY MANNA SUNDAY JULY 19, 2020 JUDGMENT FOR THE DISOBEDIENT

DAILY MANNA SUNDAY JULY 19, 2020 JUDGMENT FOR THE DISOBEDIENT TEXT: JEREMIAH 25:1-11 KEY VERSE: "Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations" (JEREMIAH 25:9). Charles Spurgeon once said, "Obedience which is not voluntary is disobedience, for the Lord looketh at the heart, and if He seeth that we serve Him from force, and not because we love Him, He will reject our offering." Obedience is a key to success for the Christian. It most be prompt and real as it brings blessings. Disobedience on the other hand brings judgment, destruction, damnation and death to the disobedient. Today's passage is a pronouncement of judgment on the disobedient and mockers...

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: FRIDAY 17TH JULY 2020.THEME: WALK IN THE SPIRIT.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL DATE: FRIDAY 17TH JULY 2020. THEME: WALK IN THE SPIRIT. MEMORISE: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25 READ: Romans 8:6-7 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. MESSAGE: The moment you become a child of God; you have His Spirit within you. “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.’  John 3:6 Being born of the Spirit, you must learn to walk in Him so that you are not drowned by the world and its ways. Fish is born inside water and so cannot survive outside it. Birds are born to fly and can only thrive when they are flying, not when they are hopping. We are born of the Spirit so we thrive when we walk in Him. When an eagle wants to kill a land animal, it takes it to the air. That is its territory. In t...

SINCERE MILK THURSDAY JULY 16, 2020 FORGIVE YOUR OFFENDER

SINCERE MILK THURSDAY JULY 16, 2020 FORGIVE YOUR OFFENDER BIBLE TEXT: MATTHEW 6:14,15 KEY VERSE: "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" (Matthew 6:14). A long time ago, two boys were in a class. The one named Timothy was born-again while the other named Tunde was not. Tunde was the class captain. He was asked to write the names of noise makers while their teacher was away. Timothy did not make any noise, but Tunde included his name on the list. When the teacher returned, Timothy was punished with other noise makers. Timothy did not hold it against Tunde, he forgave him and also prayed for God to forgive Tunde of his sins and make him become a friend of Jesus. This is an example of true Christian forgiveness. Forgiveness means to pardon. When you forgive others their offences, God will in turn forgive your offences. We are commanded to forgive people who do wrong things to us and not to fight back. You can forgive easil...
