SINCERE MILK FRIDAY AUGUST 07, 2020 TOPIC: CLEAN HANDS TEXT: PSALM 24:3-5 Key Verse: "He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully" (Psalm 24:4).      Health officials tell us that it is good and healthy to always wash our hands. To show how important this is, a day in the year has been declared as "Hand Washing Day".This is to emphasize the effect of clean hands to a person's wellbeing.      The Bible passage above mentions the importance of having clean hands in order to be able to see God. Clean hands, according to the word of God, refer to hands that are free from corruption and all forms of evil. These are hands that do not steal, write bad reports or draw sinful pictures, fight, kill or do evil.      Heaven is a beautiful place that God has prepared for all His children. In order to get there, God demands clean hands and pure hearts from saved boys and girls. ...

SINCERE MILK WEDNESDAY AUGUST 05, 2020 TOPIC: THE HOUSE OF PRAYER TEXT: MATTHEW 21:12-13 Key Verse: "And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves" (Matthew 21:13).      Jesus clearly states the purpose of God's House. Some children go to Church to cause trouble and fight. Some go there to steal and sleep. Others go there to hear the word of God and pray. Which group do you belong to?      The church of God is a 'House of Prayer'. Any place where two or three people gather every time, in the name of Jesus to pray, is a 'House of Prayer'. Jesus is present there with His power and blessings.      Satan does not want you to pray. DAILY MANNA WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 05, 2020 TOPIC: DON'T LOOK FOR FAULTS TEXT: Luke 14:1-11 KEY VERSE: “And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.” - (Luke 14:1) It was said that when the British and the French were fighting in Canada in the 1750s, Admiral Phillips, commander of the British fleet, was given orders to wait for the British land forces to arrive and then support them when they attacked the city of Quebec. But as the Admiral waited, he grew annoyed by the statues of the saints that adorned a nearby cathedral. So he commanded his men to shoot at them with the ship’s canons. HIGHER EVERYDAY  MONDAY AUGUST 03, 2020 TOPIC: THE EXAMPLE OF ENOCH TEXT: PSALM 15:1-5 MEMORY VERSE: "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him" (GENESIS 5:24).      When heated to the boiling point of 100 degrees Celsius, water transits from its original liquid state into gas. The molecules that first reach that point would evaporate, leaving behind those molecules that are yet to attain similar status.      Similarly, holiness lifts a child of God out of the influence of sin and Satan, into the glorious image and likeness of God. This is the status that Enoch attained, and so, God "took him." MESSAGE It is wise to learn from the experience of others, but sometimes, we ourselves have experiences we ought to learn from. Nebuchadnezzar was a man who learnt from his personal experience. God had warned him in a dream and also arranged for Daniel not only to interpret the dream to him, but also to counsel him on how to escape the wrath of God. Unfortunately, he did not heed the warning and for seven years, he ate grass like an animal (Daniel 4). Thank God he got a second chance. DAILY MANNA  TUESDAY AUGUST 04, 2020 TOPIC: LESSONS FROM MISFORTUNES TEXT: Luke 13:1-10 KEY VERSE: “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” - (Luke 13:3) Our newsstands are daily filled with tragic incidences occurring in different parts of the world with rising death tolls. Fire outbreaks, cyclones, hurricanes, tornadoes, road and boat crashes, etc., are happening almost on a daily basis. Many alive one moment, are swept into eternity the very next. All these are causing serious concerns in different quarters and are reasons for us to pause and learn. SINCERE MILK FRIDAY JULY 31, 2020 TOPIC: BARTHOLOMEW: A DISCIPLE OF JESUS TEXT: LUKE 6:12-14 Key Verse: "Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew" (Luke 6:14).      Bartholomew was among the twelve disciples chosen by Jesus. It is believed that he was also named Nathaniel whom Philip introduced to Christ (John 1:45). He was from Cana in Galilee and also a fisherman.      At first, he did not understand who Jesus was, but later confessed that He was the Son of God. He was a perfect Jew. DAILY MANNA SUNDAY AUGUST 02, 2020 APPOINTED BY GOD TEXT:JEREMIAH 27:1-11 KEY VERSE: "And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him" (JEREMIAH 27:7).      The dream King Nebuchadnezzar had which was interpreted by Prophet Daniel, showed the world's dominant kingdoms from Babylon to the Roman empires. HIGHER EVERYDAY SUNDAY AUGUST 02, 2020 TOPIC: THE DOWNFALL OF DAGON TEXT:1 SAMUEL 5:1-6 MEMORY VERSE: "And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again" (1 SAMUEL 5:3).      According to Francis Frangipane, "The greatest battle that was ever won was accomplished by the apparent death of the victor, without even a word of rebuke to His adversary!"      The Ark of Covenant, representing the presence of God, was captured in war, and was carried into the house of Dagon, the god of the Philistines. HIGHER EVERYDAY FRIDAY JULY 31, 2020 TOPIC: TAMING THE TONGUE TEXT:LUKE 23:39-43 MEMORY VERSE: "But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison" (JAMES 3:8).      It was John C. Wynn who wisely stated, "There is many a home intact today because some things which were felt were never spoken." People who speak all their minds on every matter often create problems for themselves and others. Indeed, the tongue is so influential and words so powerful that the Bible says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21).      One of the two thieves, crucified alongside Jesus Christ, sealed his own eternal damnation by the wrong use of his tongue. DAILY MANNA  FRIDAY JULY 31, 2020 TOPIC: STOP TALEBEARING  TEXT: LEVITICUS 19:14-22 KEY VERSE: “Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.” - (Leviticus 19:16) In a play titled “Subtle ways to go to hell”, some young Christians dramatised how “common sins” can lead many to eternal damnation. Some of those sins include talebearing, anger, malice, envy, faultfinding, murmuring, love for fashion and so on. They were able to show that unlike noticeable sins like adultery, stealing, fighting, fornication, idol worship, etc., these seemingly unnoticeable sins have done much more harm to the church than obvious ones. Some Christians easily commit them without being conscious of the inherent danger therein.
